Photo(s) 364: The home studio

Sarah got me a swanky background kit, and this was my first attempt at using it along with the new 580EXii flash. I also have white and chroma key green backdrops. I’m pretty happy with how this came out.

2 more solo shots of the kids:

Photo 330: Shockley Family 2011

There’s a few people missing who couldn’t make it, but this is pretty representitive of the tribe. (I lined up the shot then used an IR trigger to shoot it.)

Bonus, check out our microcosm of this group:

Photo 324: Too much fun this weekend

Poor guy fell asleep watching tv at 4.

Photo 322: 2 Toots!

2 Toots Train Whistle Grill just opened in Bartlett, and we were happy to have food delivered by rail! (This picture is really out of focus, but the smile totally makes up for it, and it looks good in smaller formats.)

Photo 309: Happy 90th Birthday, Richard Ladner!

We celebrated my Grandpa’s 90th birthday today. He was surrounded by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other extended family. He’s been one of the most influential people in my life and it delights me beyond words that he gets to know my children as well.

Photo 306: Healing eye

This is healing really quickly. The luck continues.

Photo 301: Running with scissors: It’s real

Evan’s sister was running with scissors and ran into her brother. After a quick visit to the ER, we can confirm that all is good, its didn’t puncture the eyelid and the eye underneath is just fine.
