Photo 322: 2 Toots!
2 Toots Train Whistle Grill just opened in Bartlett, and we were happy to have food delivered by rail! (This picture is really out of focus, but the smile totally makes up for it, and it looks good in smaller formats.)
Photo 286: Reach
Statue children are totally the easiest children to photograph. (The name of the statue in Bartlett is “Reach”.)

Photo 181: Our house
In the middle of the…cul-de-sac…
Not a lot of time to shoot for me today and then I was casting around for a subject. I went through the previous days and this is the first time I’ve featured the house in an image, so I might get that into the mix now that we’re over halfway through this daily project. (Yes, I know, I need to trim the bushes.) Overall, I’m just dissatisfied with today’s effort, but I’m not sure why.
If I put my “day job” hat on, I just stepped into the shoes of the people I serve, so there’s that. And on the technical aspects of this the shot I like, the shutter was pretty slow at 1/40. I’m happy with how steady I was thanks to the IS in the lens.
Photo 161: Peering down the tracks
Nothing great this time, just waiting for the train in the rain. I like the line of lights, so there’s that.
Photo 156: Splashdown
I like the face and the water splashing around so this image is the photo of the day. 2nd place for the photo of the day is also here for you to enjoy. It fell to second because she was too much in shadow.
(Evan was being crabby, so I didn’t get him to do some cool pool poses. Next time.
Photo 154: Sushi
Awesome sushi I had for lunch at TL’s Four Seasons. To quote @grimm26: “enjoy your phallic mound of wasabi”
Photo 150: Happy Memorial Day
Photo 149: Morning Fog
I was up at 4:30 to get ready to go to Bike the Drive. Fog had visibility down to 1/4 mile or less. I’m not super wild about this, but…
Since I was biking I have no Bike the Drive photos. Hopefully the event photographers took some good ones.
