I have no idea the name of this building. Also, Jason has me on a black and white kick, but with how grey and nasty the sky is the past month, it does add to it.
Photo 99: ROCK! aka photo class results
I took a great DSLR bootcamp class today at the Chicago Photography Center and taught by Matthew Gregory Hollis. That class was fantastic and I really enjoyed Matthew as a teacher. I learned a lot, which hopefully will translate to better stuff for me to share here. The photo above was the my favorite from today, but I’ve attached the two close second place entries for my favorite for today.
Photo 68: Father-in-law
Today I’m trying a non-traditional camera source for the photo of the day: my TiVo. My in-laws were at the game between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Tampa Bay Lightning down in Tampa Bay. My father in the law is the dude bending down to grin behind the Hawk’s assistant coach, Mike Haviland.
Even though there was a camera man on the other side, I’m calling them my photo of the day because of having to find the right shot, and do a bunch of post-processing to make it look halfway decent. This is a LOT cleaner than the original image.
Photo 33: ToDo #4 – Day 3: Mid-blizz
Day 3 of:
4. Randomly pick a window in your house and make photographs from and through that window everyday for a week
It was still coming down, but it looks like most of the fun is close to being over. But, man, look at this picture compared to yesterday’s.
I’ve added two bonus pictures of an epic drift against one of our windows and the view out our front window. Our driveway has already been cleaned once, but check out the wall of snow at the end where the plow hasn’t come by. Also, the picture looks foggy, but that’s snow falling.
I also just added a picture of my Mom sent me of her neighbor’s house. Crazy drifts.
