Photo 238: Chicago Skyline

Jason and I bought a Groupon on a few months back for Chicago Photo Safaris and after looking at the offerings decided to do one of the night time safaris to hone our night shooting skills. We stopped at 5 places in the downtown area over 4 hours.  This shot was taken from near the Adler Planetarium, which is a fantastic place to get a skyline shot.

I learned some good stuff from Jessica, our tour leader, and took advantage of the locations.  I’ll put up a flickr album with the best shots later, but I wanted to get today’s photo of the day up. (I’m exhausted due to the late night. Boo, I’m old!) I’ll definitely sign up for another trip with them next summer.

Photo 217: Illinois St

The lines and reflections work for me.

Photo 203: Any skirt in a storm

Taken from my office (hence the glass reflections.)

Tourists hiding under Marilyn’s skirt when a storm blew through downtime. I can’t imagine they were actually staying dry due to the rain blowing sideways for part of that downpour.

Photo 200: Heat fog

The heat wave and the cool lake, gave us low to the ground fog clouds when it was 90º+ out

Photo 195: The CIA did this too!

Public art station of Marilyn Monroe on Michigan Ave. The big unveil is tomorrow night.

Some bonus pictures…

This one makes me laugh:

This one make me kinda uncomfortable with the level of detail given.  Kinda creepy, and I’m not a prude.
