I’ve been looking into the creative commons licenses for work. For shits and grins, I’ve licensed this site under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 2.5 License. I’ve dumped that attribution into the footer for all to see.

A while back there was an entire Wired issue (12.11) dedicated to Creative Commons. It came with a CD that featured the Beastie Boys and some other unknown artisits. All of the songs were released with various Creative Commons licenses, so you can mash them up or sample what you like in your own works.
