The Sales guy is supposed to say of course it is all fully tested on all popular web browsers, and close the deal. Then Tech Support gets to tell them that nobody uses Firefox, or Safari, for that matter, then the guys get upset and want their money back, and it gets escalated to the legal team that points out that the small print has them by the 'nads ... On a serious note, the right answer is "gosh, that's a good question. Tell you what -- let me run that by the dev team and see what the status is on that. I'll try to have an answer for you, perhaps not today, but later tomorrow." I’m with you Keith. I've had this happen on several financial and corporate websites. If I can't take my web-traffic or business elsewhere, then it's always painfully necessary to use IE. Which the site usually rewards by hitting me with a pop-up ad. So I have nothing useful to ad, such as a "they're right to be lazy developers!" devils advocacate flamewar, though I thought about it.
